Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of the FloodGuard Pros website and referral service.
Last updated July 2026
Welcome to FloodGuard Pros. By using this website or contacting us for water damage restoration help, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our service.
The short version
We're a referral service
We connect you with independent, licensed restoration companies — we don't do the work ourselves.
Providers are responsible
The independent company you hire is responsible for its work, pricing and any warranties.
Guidance, not advice
Our content is educational, not professional advice. For emergencies, call 911 or your utility first.
1. What FloodGuard Pros is
FloodGuard Pros is a referral and connection service. We connect homeowners who need water damage restoration with independent, third-party restoration companies. We are not a restoration contractor, and we do not perform restoration work ourselves. The independent company that responds to your request is solely responsible for the services it provides.
2. No professional or emergency advice
The information on this site is provided for general educational purposes only. It is not professional, legal, medical or insurance advice, and it may not apply to your specific situation. For any emergency that threatens life or safety — including gas leaks, electrical hazards or structural collapse — call 911 or your utility company first.
3. Third-party services
Because we connect you with independent contractors, we do not control and are not responsible for their work, conduct, pricing, timeliness, licensing, insurance or any warranties they offer. Any agreement for restoration work is strictly between you and that company. We encourage you to confirm a provider's licensing and insurance and to review any contract before work begins.
4. Use of the site
You agree to use this site lawfully and not to misuse it, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or submit false or fraudulent requests. The content, design and trademarks on this site are owned by FloodGuard Pros or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.
5. No warranties
The site and service are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any provider we connect you with will meet your expectations.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FloodGuard Pros will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site, our referral service, or the work of any third-party contractor. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or service will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FloodGuard Pros from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your use of the site or service, your dealings with any third-party contractor, or your violation of these terms.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "last updated" date will be revised. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable state in which FloodGuard Pros operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.

Why the first call matters
The first-hour match — water damage is priced by the hour it sat, not by the hour you called
Standing water stops being the problem within a day. What it leaves behind — saturated drywall, wet insulation, a subfloor that keeps giving moisture back into the room — is what the invoice is actually made of, and it grows while the house looks calm.
That is not a failure of homeowners who waited. It is how the trade is arranged: you call a company, it comes when its schedule allows, and the clock keeps running in between. Our line is open every day of the year, and the call reaches an independent licensed and insured restoration company that covers your area now rather than tomorrow. We do not do the work ourselves — we are paid for the introduction, which is set out in how we make money.
Two things decide what this costs, and both are settled in the first hours. Moisture readings and photographs taken before anything is torn out are what an adjuster later accepts or disputes, and mold needs only a day or two of damp material to start. Neither waits for an appointment. And if the water came from outside — a river, a storm surge, groundwater — say so on the call. That is flood, a separate policy that a homeowners policy does not cover, and you should hear it from us before anyone arrives rather than after.
